What is the Stock Selection Process for the S&P BSE IPO index?
The S&P BSE IPO Index follows these specific eligibility criteria for stock selection: Companies are eligible for inclusion in the index after completing their public listing on BSE through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Follow-on Public Offers (FPOs), or Spin-offs.Inclusion timing is set at the beginning of the third day of listing. The stock remains in the index for two years from its listing date, after which it is automatically excluded.
The index only includes companies with full market capitalization above ₹100 crores on the date of inclusion. Trading frequency requirements specify that stocks must have traded on 90% of the trading days at BSE since listing. Companies must maintain a minimum free-float market capitalization of 10% for consideration in the index.
The index undergoes quarterly rebalancing to maintain accuracy, with additions of newly eligible stocks and removal of companies completing their two-year listing period.
How is the BSE IPO Calculated?
